On the hitting side, Jacob Vineyard was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Allen, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Christian Academy of Knoxville's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Silverdale Academy.
Joey Sulish was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Christian Academy of Knoxville's loss dropped their record down to 20-7-1. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, their record is now 19-8.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lakeway Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .445. However, it's not like Christian Academy of Knoxville struggles in that department as they've averaged .492. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
