After flying high against the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators last Tuesday, the Baptist Hill Bobcats came back down to earth. Baptist Hill had to suffer through a rough 98-9 loss at the hands of Military Magnet Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Baptist Hill has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Military Magnet Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sabri Mitchell, who dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 15 steals. Mitchell hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Davis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 steals.
Baptist Hill has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Military Magnet Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baptist Hill will take on Charleston Math & Science at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Charleston Math & Science is ranked 226th, while Baptist Hill is ranked 231st). Military Magnet Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Myers Park at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th.
