Basketball Recap: Saint Stephen's Episcopal Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Aymon Colten and Marcus Motwani

Saint Stephen's Episcopal lost against Keswick Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons and the Keswick Christian Crusaders didn't end well, with the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons falling 59-45.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Marcus Motwani, who went 8 of 14 en route to 17 points, and Aymon Colten, who posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The game was Motwani's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Even though they lost, Saint Stephen's Episcopal smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Isaiah Batey was nothing short of spectacular for Keswick Christian: he went 13 for 18 on his way to 30 points along with eight boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Batey a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Cook, who earned eight points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Keswick Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal has already played their next game (against Family Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Keswick Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-42 victory against Academy at the Lakes on the 17th.
