Stafford hasn't had much luck against Sealy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Stafford's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Fort Bend Willowridge 18-0. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Jovaughna Mendez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Mendez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Nayeli Rebuelta was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Genasis Mendez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Sealy's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Almeta Crawford as they made off with an 11-0 win.
Sealy also got a great performance from Charlee Ramos as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Ramos has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kara Kram13 was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Jaylyn Packebush was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Sealy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one strikeouts batters in five consecutive contests.
Sealy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Stafford, their record is now 10-6-1.
Stafford might still be hurting after the 20-3 loss they got from Sealy in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
