The biggest upset of the week belonged to McClain, who took down 180th ranked McClain, 32-6. Grant Simms threw for 194 yards and one touchdown in the win.
East Side extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 4 this week by beating Leland, 44-28. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Trojans.
Rotavious Thurmond was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 161 yards as the Mustangs defeated the Mustangs. Shaquile Brown also contributed to the rushing game with 68 yards on the ground.
Jonathan Clerk-Beamon put up the best numbers through the air as East Side bested the Cubs. He finished with a total of seven completions for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Clerk-Beamon's favorite target this week was Brandt Williams, who caught four passes for 61 yards.
Crow was the best wideout in the league this week as the Tigers beat McClain. Crow tallied two receptions for 83 yards. temerius spivey helped Leflore County's passing attack out by catching two balls for 65 yards.
Leflore County's Simms and Devante Crow have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 3A Region 4 in both passing and receiving yards. Simms has thrown for 1349 yards this season, while Crow has 26 catches for 648 yards. Roger Burton's team's Quadre Butler leads the league in rushing yards with 858.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Trojans take on Sherrod Gideon's team. At the moment, East Side is in first, while the Tigers are in third.
Leflore County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,769 from 8,785. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 32-6 victory over the Mustangs last week.
