The Frankenmuth Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 73-64 win over Linden. Given Frankenmuth's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Linden is ranked 476th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Frankenmuth was led to victory by Aiden Labissoniere and Riley Hubbard. Labissoniere scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Hubbard scored 18 points. Labissoniere continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Thomas Conzelmann was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Frankenmuth pushed their record up to 4-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Linden, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Frankenmuth will finish 2023 at home by hosting Millington at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Millington will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Linden will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Flint Southwestern Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
