Basketball Recap: Lukas Worster Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

Nebraska Lutheran won the last time they faced Hampton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Nebraska Lutheran Knights came out on top against the Hampton Hawks by a score of 51-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Nebraska Lutheran got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lukas Worster out in front who posted 14 points and eight rebounds. Worster is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Dylan Hoehler was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine boards and six assists.

Nebraska Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Nebraska Lutheran's record now sits at 5-7. As for Hampton, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

When Nebraska Lutheran and Hampton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Nebraska Lutheran will square off against College View Academy and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hampton will try to stop Cross County's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
