Midway put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 62-56 W over the Lakewood Leopards. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Lakewood saw an underclassman step up: freshman Xavier Hall almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 20 boards, and nine blocks. Another player making a difference was Cameron Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.

Midway's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Midway and Hobbton will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Lakewood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-35 victory against Red Springs on the 14th.
