The Columbia Tigers can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Fort White 56-20 at home. With Columbia ahead 43-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Leading Columbia to victory were ZURI HOLLIE and JOLENA GARDNER. HOLLIE scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while GARDNER dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. GARDNER has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. ERICKAH ROBERSON was another key contributor, scoring no points along with seven steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Columbia and bumps their season record up to 13-10. As for Fort White, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
Columbia will take on the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Middleburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 416th, while the Tigers are ranked 152nd). As for Fort White, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Newberry and the Indians are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
