Methuen was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Billerica Memorial Indians. The Rangers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won  3-1.
 Methuen took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-12, 12-25, 22-25, 25-21,  15-11.

 Methuen lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Kathryn Driend, who  had seven  digs, five  kills, three  blocks,  and two  aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more  assists the last 17 times she's  played.  Ella Duffy was another key player,  getting 25  digs and two  assists.
 Among those leading the charge was   Makayla Sibert, who  had 17  digs.
Methuen's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Billerica Memorial, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-9.
