The Front Range Baptist Falcons won the last time they faced the Denver Waldorf Spartans, and things went their way on Friday too. Front Range Baptist came out on top against Denver Waldorf by a score of 54-42.
Front Range Baptist got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Benjamin VanDenBerghe out in front who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and seven steals. VanDenBerghe hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Alex Prelog was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Denver Waldorf saw an underclassman step up: Henry Lottridge scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Vullings, who scored six points along with five blocks and two steals.
Front Range Baptist has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Denver Waldorf, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
Front Range Baptist will take on Denver Jewish Day at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver Jewish Day is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. As for Denver Waldorf, they will head out on the road to challenge Arickaree at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
