The Blackhawk Cougars will be playing at home against the Ambridge Bridgers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Blackhawk and five for the Bridgers.
Blackhawk pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beaver. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), Blackhawk still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Ambridge pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Central Valley by a score of 64-62. While losing is never fun, Ambridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 481st, while the Warriors are ranked 235th).
Blackhawk has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Ambridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
