The Stratford Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Goose Creek. Stratford has struggled against Goose Creek recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Stratford's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kristion Swift, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nizhier Baldwin, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Shane Potts continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Goose Creek, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ja'Quell Brown, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Stratford has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Goose Creek, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Stratford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Goose Creek's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cane Bay at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Goose Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
