Cambridge was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in Ohio Valley AAAAA. The Bobcats vanquished East Liverpool 35-7 earlier in the week.
Indian Creek moved up to 170 from 222 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 27-14 win over Martins Ferry helped the Redskins improve their standing.
Wheeling Park's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Phillips threw for 206 and two touchdowns and Eric Banks had 79 yards receiving. On the ground Bryce Ingram chipped in 81 yards.
The Patriots' Phillips and Banks have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 861 yards this season, while Banks has 21 catches for 410 yards. Morgantown's Chazzy Thomas leads the league in rushing yards with 800.
A big matchup in Ohio Valley AAAAA this week will be when John Marshall takes on University. As it stands, the Monarchs are in 11th, while the Hawks are in first.
The Mohigans and Wheeling Park played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Mohigans eventually emerging with a 42-39 victory.
