They were dealt a 55-21 loss at the hands of Colquitt County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bainbridge in their matchups with the Packers: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Bainbridge had strong showings from Miyah Williams, who scored eight points, and Z'riah Solomon, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Colquitt County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was D'Zeriyah Polite out in front who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jamya Moore, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bainbridge has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Colquitt County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bainbridge will challenge the Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Colquitt County, they and the Wildcats will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Valdosta is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
