The East Central Hornets can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 28-18 win over Clemens. The win was just what East Central needed coming off of a 52-28 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading East Central to victory were Isaiah Mackey and Austin Vivier. Mackey threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns, while Vivier gained 111 total yards and two touchdowns. Vivier was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 63 yards. Kaleb Ramos got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
East Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Clemens, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
East Central will head out on the road to face off against San Marcos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. San Marcos is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Clemens will take on Steele at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Steele will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
