The Bellevue Broncos won the last time they faced the Athens Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. Bellevue claimed a resounding 76-21 win over Athens on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bellevue.
Athens' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Heath Tigges, who scored 6 points. Tigges scored a full 28.6% of Athens' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Flynn, who scored 8 points.
Bellevue's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Athens, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellevue will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Mendon at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Athens, they will square off against Climax-Scotts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
