Boonsboro has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the North Hagerstown Hubs at TBD on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Boonsboro was the victim of a tough 64-44 defeat at the hands of Catoctin. While losing is never fun, Boonsboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while Catoctin is ranked 26th).
Meanwhile, North Hagerstown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Linganore, falling 87-25. North Hagerstown has struggled against Linganore recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Boonsboro dropped their record down to 8-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for North Hagerstown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Boonsboro ended up a good deal behind North Hagerstown when the teams last played back in January of 2023, losing 50-31. Can Boonsboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
