The McCutcheon Mavericks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 54-25 loss at the hands of Noblesville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McCutcheon has scored all season.
Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Richardson, who scored three points. Richardson set a new season high mark in steals with two.
McCutcheon struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
McCutcheon's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Noblesville, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCutcheon will take on Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Noblesville will finish 2023 at home by hosting Crown Point at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Crown Point will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Noblesville is ranked fifth).
