The Indian Rocks Christian Eagles will take on the Shorecrest Prep Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Indian Rocks Christian's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
Indian Rocks Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 13-8 win over Lakeside Christian. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Lions on their field since March 25, 2022.

Scarlett Eames was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophia Bello, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruth Dunham, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Indian Rocks Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Shorecrest Prep made sure to put some runs up on the board against Admiral Farragut on Wednesday. The Chargers put the hurt on the BlueJackets with a sharp 15-1 victory. Considering the Chargers have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Samantha Beltran made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Beltran was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs.
In other batting news, Shorecrest Prep got a massive performance out of Paige Conroy, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Conroy also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Madi Bidwell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Shorecrest Prep pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Indian Rocks Christian, their record now sits at 6-18.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Indian Rocks Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .785. However, it's not like Shorecrest Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .451. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Indian Rocks Christian might still be hurting after the 12-4 loss they got from Shorecrest Prep in their previous matchup back in May of 2022. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
