Paxon School For Advanced Studies hadn't done well against Atlantic Coast recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles were the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over the Atlantic Coast Stingrays. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Paxon School For Advanced Studies got a great performance from Dominic Craig as he tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits.

At the plate, Robert Bryson and Ethan Gomez did most of the damage at the plate: Bryson went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double, while Gomez scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Belcher, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Paxon School For Advanced Studies always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atlantic Coast only posted an OBP of .333.

Paxon School For Advanced Studies pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Atlantic Coast, they moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Paxon School For Advanced Studies will welcome Ribault at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Ribault's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four games.
