The Oceanside Mariners put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 68-51 victory over Winslow. Given Oceanside's advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Winslow is ranked 53rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Carter Galley, who scored 33 points along with six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 32 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zeb Foster, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and six steals.
Oceanside pushed their record up to 17-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Winslow, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.
Oceanside will head out on the road to square off against Leavitt at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oceanside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,539 points over their last 17 matches. As for Winslow, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mount View at 6:30 p.m.
