The Crest Lancers's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Pleasanton Blu-Jays on Thursday. Crest blew past the Wildcats 60-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Crest also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Crest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Golden out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Rogan Weir was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists and three steals.
The victory got Crest back to even at 7-7. As for Marmaton Valley, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crest won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Southeast is ranked 302nd, while the Lancers are ranked 280th). As for Marmaton Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Yates Center comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
