The Wakefield Warriors won the last time they faced the Yorktown Patriots, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Wakefield came out on top against Yorktown by a score of 60-48.
Yorktown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jack Roosa, who scored eight points. Roosa also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Maria, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Wakefield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Yorktown, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wakefield will take on Langley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yorktown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McLean at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McLean will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
