The Wallace Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brady. Wallace was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matt Lungrin, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Max Hanson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Wallace has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Brady, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallace's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Maxwell is ranked 236th, while the Wildcats are ranked 235th). As for Brady, they will head out on the road to take on the Mavericks on Thursday. Hopefully Sandhills Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Saturday.
