Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Wins Going Away Against Loogootee

Bloomfield got themselves on the board against Loogootee on Wednesday, but Loogootee never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ethan Davis was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Tyler Patterson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Bloomfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Bloomfield's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Loogootee, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coming up, Bloomfield will take on Eastern Greene at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunderbirds have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Loogootee, they will venture away from home to challenge Shakamak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
