Mt. Carmel lost to San Marcos back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Sundevils skirted past the Knights 16-15. With that victory, the Sundevils brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Naya Leuck was excellent, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Riley Ronald, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Mt. Carmel lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as San Marcos didn't launched any.
Mt. Carmel has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season. As for San Marcos, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14-1.
