The Brooklyn Tech Engineers were the 55-53 winner over the John Jay Wolves when they last played one another back in January of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Brooklyn Tech fell 53-44 to John Jay on Wednesday.
Luke Opalack and Troy Hornbeck certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Opalack dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Hornbeck dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Hornbeck scored a full 29.5% of Brooklyn Tech's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Brooklyn Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for John Jay, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Brooklyn Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against Sunset Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for John Jay, they will head out on the road to face off against Westinghouse at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
