The Ridgevue Warhawks entered their tilt with the Caldwell Cougars with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Ridgevue simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Caldwell 70-40 at home. Given Ridgevue's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Caldwell is ranked 120th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ridgevue's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javonte Boles, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Tiddens, who scored 14 points.
Ridgevue is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Caldwell, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Ridgevue will head out on the road to square off against Bishop Kelly at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Kelly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully Ridgevue likes a good challenge. Caldwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
