Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burlington). They came out on top against the Iola Mustangs by a score of 68-61 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

When it comes to explaining why Iola lost, don't look at Cortland Carson. Despite the final result, he went 12 for 25 on his way to 31 points and five rebounds. Nick Bauer was another key player, putting up eight points and seven assists.

Burlington's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Iola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Burlington will head out to square off against Wellsville on Friday. Wellsville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Burlington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Iola, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Prairie View at 7:30 p.m. Iola is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.
