Blackfoot came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Hillcrest, but Ali Maddux wouldn't allow it. The Knights came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 3-1 on Thursday for which the team can thank Maddux, who had 34 digs and one assist. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Hillcrest had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Blackfoot saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bailee Thompson had 11 digs and one assist. Jaci Capson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Blackfoot, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-14.

Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Bonneville on the 30th. As for Blackfoot, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Skyline on the 30th.
