The Norborne Pirates's 11-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They blew past Madison, posting a 65-25 victory on the road. Norborne's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Norborne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braydon Cook, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Owen Albrecht was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Norborne's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Norborne on the road again on Saturday and play against Wellsville-Middletown on January 27th. As for Madison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glasgow on Monday. Glasgow knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Madison likes a good challenge.
