After flying high against Jersey Village on Friday, Strake Jesuit came back down to earth. The Fighting Crusaders were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 58-57 to the Fort Bend Elkins Knights. The Fighting Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Fort Bend Elkins was led to victory by Myles Allen and Jeremiah Okpamen. Allen shot 45% from the field en route to 18 points, while Okpamen posted 13 points. Okpamen continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Strake Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Strake Jesuit will take on Stratford in a tournament on the 29th. Fort Bend Elkins will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against Jordan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
