Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midland Valley). They managed a 66-60 win over the Glenn Hills Spartans on Saturday. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Midland Valley's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Glenn Hills, they are on a 33-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midland Valley will finish 2024 at home by hosting Evans at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Midland Valley is on a three-game streak of home losses, Evans a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change. As for Glenn Hills, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burke County at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
