Basketball Recap: Asheboro Hybrid Academy Piles Up the Points Against Faith Christian Academy

Asheboro Hybrid Academy entered their tilt with Faith Christian Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Faith Christian Academy Knights, posting a 65-27 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 30 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Justin Kearns, who went 6 of 11from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and seven steals. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Hudson, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for Faith Christian Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Asheboro Hybrid Academy and Father Capodanno will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
