The DeKalb County Tigers lost against the White County Warriors on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with DeKalb County falling 42-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points they have scored all season.
Leading White County to victory were Tripp Pinion and Cole Sims. Pinion scored 17 points along with two steals, while Sims dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Sims scored 15 or more points. Gage Stephenson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds.
DeKalb County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for White County, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Stone Memorial the next time they take the court. DeKalb County will host Stone Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while White County will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
