Baseball Recap: Shadow Ridge Takes a Loss

If Shadow Ridge was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Spring Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Foothill Falcons on Tuesday. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Shadow Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marco Montesanti, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Shadow Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Foothill, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

While Shadow Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
