Deubrook lost to DeSmet the last time the two teams met, but they didn't allow DeSmet the same satisfaction this time around. Deubrook were able to grind out a solid victory over DeSmet on Friday, winning 21-12.
Senior Clayton Koppatschek was the offensive standout of the match for Deubrook, as he rushed for 129 yards and 1 touchdown. Junior Trace Vierhuf was in the mix, too, providing Deubrook with 2 touchdowns.
The win bumped Deubrook's record up to 4-3. DeSmet's record now sits at 2-6.
Next week Deubrook take on Estelline/Hendricks at 7:00 PM. Estelline/Hendricks are limping into the match on a seven-game losing streak. As for DeSmet, they will face off against Deubrook.
