The Oklahoma School for the Deaf Bison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 27-26 to Marie Philip. While losing is never fun, Oklahoma School for the Deaf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 487th in Oklahoma, while Marie Philip is ranked 16th in Massachusetts).
Marie Philip's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Solina Rampino, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Marie Philip, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Maysville at 6:30 p.m. Marie Philip on the road again on Saturday and play against Rochester School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. Rochester School for the Deaf's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so Marie Philip's offense will have their work cut out for them.
