Cumberland Gap came out on top in a nail-biter against Washburn and snuck past 47-45. That's another feather in the cap for Cumberland Gap, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Washburn lost, one person who can't be blamed is Saylor Clay. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ebany Hill, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Cumberland Gap's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Washburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
