The Perry Bluejays pushed their score all the way to 74 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 81-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nevada. Perry has not had much luck with Nevada recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Perry's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drake Levan, who scored 23 points along with 6 assists. Zander Mahler was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 8 rebounds.
Perry now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Nevada, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Perry will head out on the road to face off against Roland-Story at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nevada, they will be playing at home against Iowa Falls-Alden at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
