What's more, Weber posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last six matchups. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. In other pitching news, Trey Whitford looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Erickson, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Nunziato, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hasbrouck Heights will take on Lyndhurst at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rutherford, they will face off against Wayne Hills at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
