Franklin Pierce gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lakes Lancers with a sharp 12-2 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Dustin Wallace made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Wallace was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.
