The Lincoln Northwest Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Waverly Vikings at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The  squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Lincoln Northwest has struggled recently with 14 losses in a row, while Waverly will arrive with four straight  wins.
 On Saturday, Lincoln Northwest took a serious blow against Bennington, falling  68-27. While losing is never fun, Lincoln Northwest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings  (they are ranked 211th, while Bennington is ranked 35th).
 Meanwhile, Waverly can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a  58-35 margin over Hastings. The  contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Waverly had established  a  22 point advantage.
 Waverly can attribute much of their success to  Parker Christiansen, who  scored 16 points.  Peyton Tritz was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points.
 Lincoln Northwest dropped their record down to 1-17 with that  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they only averaged 23.5 points per game. As for Waverly, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record  this season.
