The Booker T. Washington Tornadoes will head out on the road to take on the Miami Stingarees at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Booker T. Washington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Miami is ranked 70th).
Booker T. Washington had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Edison on Thursday as Booker T. Washington made off with a 64-40 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Booker T. Washington has posted against Edison since January 10, 2017.
It was another big night for Jahmal David, who scored 18 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zephaniah Pratt, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Miami waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Coral Gables by a score of 50-39.
Booker T. Washington's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Miami, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Booker T. Washington didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Miami in their previous meeting back in January of 2018, but they still walked away with a 58-52 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Miami's Gabriel Francisco, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds.
