The biggest upset of the week belonged to Stony Brook, who took down 527th ranked Stony Brook, 27-14.
Babylon extended the longest winning streak in Section 11 Division IV this week by beating Shoreham-Wading River, 55-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Panthers.
The Wildcats' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Danny Hughes threw for 16 yards and Mitch Identsohn had 10 yards receiving. On the ground Tyler Anderson chipped in 55 yards. Anderson helped Shoreham-Wading River's passing attack out by catching one ball for six yards.
5-foot-9 quarterback Justin Carbone of Hampton Bays is the league leader in passing yards this season with 377. He has also thrown two touchdowns. On the ground, Shoreham-Wading River's Anderson has rushed for 965 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Isreal Squires. The Shoreham-Wading River star has 13 catches for 261 yards.
Matthew Millheiser's team's Anderson is a mere 35 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Baymen take on Mount Sinai. Hampton Bays is currently in fourth, while Mount Sinai is in second.
Port Jefferson was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 12th to 10th in Section 11 Division IV. The Royals defeated Southampton 25-6 earlier in the week.
