The Southwest DeKalb Panthers won the last time they faced the Miller Grove Wolverines, and things went their way on Friday too. Southwest DeKalb walked away with a 57-45 victory over Miller Grove.
Messiah Mergan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Sam Turner was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Southwest DeKalb has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Miller Grove, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest DeKalb will challenge Druid Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miller Grove, they will head out on the road to challenge Stone Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
