After flying high against the Itasca Wampus Cats on Friday, the Jacksboro Tigers came back down to earth. Jacksboro fell 44-35 to Marlin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Jacksboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 689th, while Marlin is ranked 201st).
Kylie Tullous and Hayden Walker certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Tullous scored 15 points, while Walker scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds. Walker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played.
Jacksboro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Marlin, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Jacksboro is on the road again on Saturday and play against Palmer at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th. Palmer is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Marlin, they will play host again and welcome Grandview, where tip off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grandview is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
