The Seventy-First Falcons entered their tilt with the Gray's Creek Bears with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Seventy-First blew past Gray's Creek 78-39 on the road. That 39 points margin sets a new team best for Seventy-First this season.
Seventy-First's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mylon Campbell, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Xavier McBryde, who scored ten points.
Zeek Reed and Quion Andrews certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Reed scored 12 points, while Andrews scored nine points.
Seventy-First pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Gray's Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Seventy-First will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Purnell Swett at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Purnell Swett is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Gray's Creek, they will be playing at home against Douglas Byrd at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
