Bridges Prep is 0-6 against the Tigers since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bridges Prep Buccaneers will head out on the road to square off against the Allendale-Fairfax Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Bridges Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Friday, Bridges Prep took their match at home with ease, bagging a 53-4 victory over the Royal Knights.
Bridges Prep found their leader in underclassman Makayla Lapp, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Raelynn Reeves, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Allendale-Fairfax came tearing into Wednesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 56-52 victory over Bamberg-Ehrhardt. Allendale-Fairfax's win was all the more impressive since the Red Raiders were averaging only 27.09 points allowed on the season.
Bridges Prep's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Allendale-Fairfax, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1.
Bridges Prep was dealt a bruising 82-26 defeat at the hands of the Tigers when the teams last played back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bridges Prep was down 56-16.
